Find angle between 5x+2y-11=0 and 3x-y+11=0

Solution:

We shall first of all find slopes of the lines.
Slope of line-1
`5x+2y-11=0`

`:. 2y=-5x+11`

`:. y=-(5x)/(2)+11/2`

`:. m_1=-5/2`

Slope of line-2
`3x-y+11=0`

`:. y=3x+11`

`:. m_2=3`


Now, `tan theta = |(m_1-m_2)/(1+m_1m_2)|`

`=|(-5/2-3)/(1+(-5/2)(3))|`

`=|(-11/2)/(1+-15/2)|`

`=|(-11/2)/(-13/2)|`

`=11/13`

`theta=40.24^circ`
