Solve linear equations 7Y+2X-11=0 and 3X-Y-5=0 using Substitution Method

`2X+7Y-11 = 0 ->(1)`

`3X-Y-5 = 0 ->(2)`

Taking Eqn. `(2)`, we have

`3X-Y-5 = 0`

`=> Y = 3X-5 ->(3)`

Putting `Y = 3X-5` in Eqn. `(1)`, we get

`2X+7(3X-5)-11 = 0`

`=> 2X+21X-35-11 = 0`

`=> 23X-46 = 0`

`=> 23 (X-2) = 0`

`=> X-2 = 0`

`=> X = 2 ->(4)`

Now, Putting `X = 2` in Eqn. `(3)`, we get

`Y = 3(2)-5`

`=> Y = 6-5`

`=> Y = 1`

`:. Y = 1" and "X = 2`
