1. Find the equation of a line whose X-intercept is `5` and Y-intercept is `2`

Solution:
Here intercept on X-axis `a=5` and intercept on Y-axis `b=2`

Equation of a line is `x/a+y/b=1`

`:. x/(5)+y/(2)=1`

`:. 2x+5y=10`

Hence, The equation of line is `2x+5y=10`



2. Find the equation of a line whose X-intercept is `3` and Y-intercept is `-2`

Solution:
Here intercept on X-axis `a=3` and intercept on Y-axis `b=-2`

Equation of a line is `x/a+y/b=1`

`:. x/(3)+y/(-2)=1`

`:. (x)/(3)-(y)/(2)=1`

`:. 2x-3y=6`

Hence, The equation of line is `2x-3y=6`



3. Find the equation of a line whose X-intercept is `-2/7` and Y-intercept is `3/5`

Solution:
Here intercept on X-axis `a=-2/7` and intercept on Y-axis `b=3/5`

Equation of a line is `x/a+y/b=1`

`:. x/(-2/7)+y/(3/5)=1`

`:. -(7x)/(2)+(5y)/(3)=1`

`:. -21x+10y=6`

`:. 21x-10y=-6`

Hence, The equation of line is `21x-10y=-6`



4. Find the equation of a line whose X-intercept is `6` and Y-intercept is `-4`

Solution:
Here intercept on X-axis `a=6` and intercept on Y-axis `b=-4`

Equation of a line is `x/a+y/b=1`

`:. x/(6)+y/(-4)=1`

`:. (x)/(6)-(y)/(4)=1`

`:. 2x-3y=12`

Hence, The equation of line is `2x-3y=12`
