1. Example-1





1. Convert from logarithmic to exponential form log(2,16)=4

Solution:
`log(2,16)=4`

Convert from logarithmic form to exponential form
`log_b(x)=y => x=b^y`

Identify the values of b, x and y
`log_2(16)=4`

So `b=2,x=16,y=4`

`:. log_2(16)=4 => 16=2^4`
2. Convert from logarithmic to exponential form log(x)=1

Solution:
`log(x)=1`

Convert from logarithmic form to exponential form
`log_b(x)=y => x=b^y`

Identify the values of b, x and y
`log_10(x)=1`

So `b=10,x=x,y=1`

`:. log_10(x)=1 => x=10^1`
3. Convert from logarithmic to exponential form log_2(8)=3

Solution:
`log(2,8)=3`

Convert from logarithmic form to exponential form
`log_b(x)=y => x=b^y`

Identify the values of b, x and y
`log_2(8)=3`

So `b=2,x=8,y=3`

`:. log_2(8)=3 => 8=2^3`
4. Convert from logarithmic to exponential form ln(5)

Solution:
`ln(5)`

`ln(5)=m`

`ln(x)=log_e(x)`

Convert from logarithmic form to exponential form
`log_b(x)=y => x=b^y`

Identify the values of b, x and y
`log_e(5)=m`

So `b=e,x=5,y=m`

`:. log_e(5)=m => 5=e^m`
