1. 1 unbiased coin is tossed examples

1) 1 unbiased coins are tossed. What is the probability of getting exactly 1 Head

Solution:
Total number of outcomes possible when a coin is tossed`=2`

`:.n(S)=2`

Here `S` = {H, T}

Let `E` = event of getting exactly `1` head

`:.` `E` = {H}

`:.n(E) = 1`

`:.P(E)=(n(E))/(n(S))=1/2`

2) 1 unbiased coins are tossed. What is the probability of getting exactly 1 Tail

Solution:
Total number of outcomes possible when a coin is tossed`=2`

`:.n(S)=2`

Here `S` = {H, T}

Let `E` = event of getting exactly `1` tail
