1. Solving quadratic equations by factoring example ( Enter your problem )

1. Examples

1. Find the roots of Quadratic Equation `x^2+8x+12=0` by Factoring

Solution:
`x^2+8x+12=0`

`=>x^2+8x+12 = 0`

`=>x^2+2x+6x+12 = 0`

`=>x(x+2)+6(x+2) = 0`

`=>(x+2)(x+6) = 0`

`=>(x+2) = 0" or "(x+6) = 0`

`=>x = -2" or "x = -6`

2. Find the roots of Quadratic Equation `x^2-25=0` by Factoring

Solution:
`x^2-25=0`

`=>x^2-25 = 0`

`=>(x)^2-(5)^2 = 0`

`=>(x-5)(x+5) = 0`

`=>(x-5) = 0" or "(x+5) = 0`

`=>x = 5" or "x = -5`

3. Find the roots of Quadratic Equation `9x^2-24x+16=0` by Factoring

Solution:
`9x^2-24x+16=0`

`=>9x^2-24x+16 = 0`

`=>(3x)^2 - 2(3x)(4) + (4)^2 = 0`

`=>(3x-4)^2 = 0`

`=>(3x-4) = 0`

`=>3x = 4`

`=>x = 4/3`

4. Find the roots of Quadratic Equation `4x^2-5x-6=0` by Factoring

Solution:
`4x^2-5x-6=0`

`=>4x^2-5x-6 = 0`

`=>4x^2+3x-8x-6 = 0`

`=>x(4x+3)-2(4x+3) = 0`

`=>(4x+3)(x-2) = 0`

`=>(4x+3) = 0" or "(x-2) = 0`

`=>4x = -3" or "x = 2`

`=>x = -3/4" or "x = 2`
