1. Which is the best deal examples

1. Which is the best deal ?
10 pencil cost is Rs 4 or
6 pencil cost is Rs 2.70

Solution:
Cost of `10` pencil=Rs `4`

Cost of `1` pencil = `4/10`=Rs `0.4`

Cost of `6` pencil=Rs `2.70`

Cost of `1` pencil = `2.70/6`=Rs `0.45`

We get the lowest price per pencil is Rs 0.4 in 'Cost of `10` pencil=Rs `4`'

Hence, 'Cost of `10` pencil=Rs `4`' is the best deal

2. Which is the best deal ?
4 pencil cost is $ 3.80 or
3 pencil cost is $ 2.70

Solution:
Cost of `4` pencil=$ `3.80`

Cost of `1` pencil = `3.80/4`=$ `0.95`

Cost of `3` pencil=$ `2.70`

Cost of `1` pencil = `2.70/3`=$ `0.9`

We get the lowest price per pencil is $ 0.9 in 'Cost of `3` pencil=$ `2.70`'

Hence, 'Cost of `3` pencil=$ `2.70`' is the best deal
