2. Find Prime factorization of 21 by Division method

Solution:
Prime factorization of a number using Division method :
Step-1: Divide the given number by its least prime factor.
Step-2: Divide the quotient by its least prime factor.
Step-3: Repeat the process until the quotient becomes 1.
Step-4: Write product of all the prime on the sides of the table.

Divide 21 by the least prime number, which is 3
321
 7

As 7 is a prime number, divide it with itself to get 1
321
77
 1

The quotient is 1, so we stop here

The prime factorization is the product of all the primes on the sides of the table
`21=3 xx 7`

We can write prime factorization in exponential form
`21=3 xx 7`
